This book is dedicated to grieving children everywhere, especially those who don't have the words to express what they feel. To the mothers and fathers who wake up every day carrying the weight of loss while trying to stay strong for their families: you are seen, you are loved, and your courage matters. May this book remind you to keep the good memories alive, honor your loved ones with intention, and find healing in the legacy they left behind. To my daughter Brielle, whose pain awakened my purpose and whose comfort shaped my creativity. Before the business, before the creativity, before the products — there was pain. Seasonal depression had taken over, the holidays felt heavy, and my two-year-old daughter Brielle was hurting in ways I didn't know how to fix.
Grief magnifies the edges of every ordinary sadness. In these heavy winters I learned healing isn't linear — some days, simply showing up for her was the bravest thing I could do.
I ordered a sequin pillow with her favorite picture. It arrived garish and poorly printed. That failed pillow lit something inside me: if comfort couldn't be bought, maybe it could be made.
Overwhelmed, I drove to East Atlanta to be near my mom. After a hard family moment I stepped outside and decided: I'm getting this pillow fixed today.
They told me sublimating on sequins wouldn't work. I said, 'Please. Just try.' The pillow came out vibrant and alive — and I realized I wasn't created to be a customer. I was supposed to be the creator.
Standing between a hospital bed where life had ended and a crib where it had just begun, I felt my brother's light near me. Loss became the seed of something enduring.
Every pillow, blanket and keepsake tells a story of love, longing and resilience. Healing doesn't erase pain — it gives it meaning.
